IT 5 days from the Electoral pull of the Osun State, and the people of Osun has made their choice that the icon Governor Rauf Aregbesola is the man of their dreams. Congratulations to the Governor, we wish you happy governing. But, some of his competitors are not to happy about it and believe it was a wrong election,when even the people of Osu has concluded that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has done a very successful job. Iyiola Omisore belives their was a manipulation in the Election. But Is it the Governorship that matters or the betterment of the people?  According to me, every one is a governor. You dont wait for the Governor to feed you,definitely you do that yourself,So why wait for the Governor to do all most every thing,when you know you could per take in some,if not all. So people of  Nigeria let be our own Governor and make the best of every situation that can improve our beloved Country. It could be in different forms,some plan it as NGOs and many more. We could do this if we are together. God bless Nigeria

Beginner's jewelry making instructions in how to choose your first project.

For a Beginner, one of the most intimidating steps in jewelry making is to actually begin making a jewelry item.  The obvious first question is what do a beginner need to know to begin.  In the following paragraphs we will try to show where to go to learn the basic skills that are necessary in working with wire and beads and will identify some resources to visit to learn how to perform these skills.
Perhaps even more important than showing you where to go to learn the skills, we will actually suggest your first jewelry project. The reason we make this suggestion for a first project is that we have talked to too many people who found a jewelry project that they wanted to make and commenced by trying to make that project without understanding whether the project was suitable for a beginner or not.

Now let's try to answer the obvious question -- What makes a project suitable for a beginner? 

1. Instructions are detailed explaining every step in the process.
2. Where skills are required, the instructions include a link to a description of how to perform that skill.
3. Where appropriate videos are referenced to help understand the techniques used. 
4. Instructions include a picture for every step in the project. 
5. In general, we assume that any project that requires wrapping wire around itself, is not suitable for beginners. 

Before we actually recommend a jewelry making project for beginners, let's discuss how we organize our free jewelry making instructions.  For every jewelry making project that we describe on our web site we start with several introductory paragraphs like these.  The introductory paragraphs include some general discussion like this paragraph, a picture of the finished jewelry item like the picture above-right, and three sections that list the Supplies, Tools and Skills necessary to complete that project.  After these three paragraphs, we begin our step-by-step instructions for making that jewelry item.  The Supplies, Tools and Skills paragraphs below are those associated with our recommended beginners first jewelry project.

Jewelry Making Supplies: 6 inches of 20 Gauge inexpensive practice wire Two six mm beads Two three mm beads Ear wire findings (one pair)

Jewelry Making Tools: Ruler Flush Cutter Round Nose Pliers Bent Chain Nose Pliers (2) Any WigJig acrylic jig 20 minutes of free time

 

Jewelry Making Skills:

• How to use a flush cutter to cut wire.
   
• How to straighten wire using nylon jaw pliers. 
   
• How to grasp wire and bend wires using chain nose or bent chain nose pliers.
   
• How to make an open loop.
   
• How to use a WigJig to make jewelry wire components.

Step 1:  Before making any jewelry item,

Step 3:  Review the instructions for the jewelry making skills required.
